How many times have you heard that an LBD (little black dress) is an essential item? Plenty right? Well so is the LRD (little red dress). Red is quite striking, it demands a few head turns, regardless if it’s super glam or super casual.
Like the character of MundoFox’s new novela ¿Quién Mató a Patricia Soler? (Who Killed Patricia Soler?), Sara Fernández (Itatí Cantoral) is a woman who exudes power and commands attention symbolized in the show with a gorgeous red gown. To celebrate the debut (today at 9PM/8C!) I’ll be sharing a few tips on how I rock a little red dress.
Depending on the cut and style of a red dress sometimes less is more. I mean, you are wearing red! The color alone is a statement in itself. For this deep v-cut flare dress I wanted to keep the accessories simple.
Your makeup is also key. I emphasized my eyes with a winged eyeliner and opted for a deep red lip. Some may say that’s too matchy matchy but that’s fine by me!
The ring was my grandmother’s and the heart linked bracelet was a gift from her. Both pieces of jewelry compliment the style of the earrings really well and I instinctively knew I wanted to wear them with this dress.
Though the tendency is to go straight and sleek, I decided to do something out of the ordinary (for me at least) and wore my natural curly hair. Why not the curls right?
Black ankle strap shoes was the way to go for this look. A pair of silver shoes would’ve also worked. The material of this dress is thick, which I love, and a more casual take is something I could get away with if I wanted to.
Remember, simplicity is key. Let the style (and color) of your dress do the talking. See this stunning strapless gown? Point noted.
¿Quién Mató a Patricia Soler? is a captivating adaptation of the well-received telenovela “La Madrastra,” with new twists and a suspenseful ending. The story follows Sara Fernández (Itatí Cantoral), a woman who is wrongfully imprisoned after being betrayed by those closest to her and her subsequent search for justice when she is exonerated and released 17 years later. It is a story of betrayal, revenge, mystery and suspense that will surprise you until the heart-stopping moment when Patricia Soler’s killer is finally revealed.
Be sure to catch the debut tonight at 9PM/8C on MundoFox. And of course like most telenovela’s it will air Monday – Friday. You officially have a new addiction!
