Guys, if I told you headbands are popular again, would you believe? Like, legit, they are. Now, I admit, they haven’t been my thing in a minute but I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t just buy a pair recently. Why? Well because they’re an easy way to dress up your hair. Today’s post is all about styling headbands with TRESemmé.
Ever need to get ready with no time to spare? Other than makeup it’s the hair that can usually take some time to do. The messy bun (hi, low, or mid) is an on-the-go look that anyone can pull off. Adding a headband gives your hairstyle an absolutely effortless feel. So I took the headbands out for a spin because lawd knows how temper-mental my curly hair is at times. I figured if the professionals over at TRESemmé, which were once again the official hair care sponsors for New York Fashion Week and thus marking 15 years :-D, were implementing the look on the runway then I was doing something right!
Getting ready for the gym is a pain for me, mainly because of my hair. I mean, I am going to work out so there’s no need to look “too cute” but c’mon! Who wants to walk into the gym looking a hot mess before the sweat session even begins!? I like for my hair to be pulled away from my face so I tend to go with a high library bun or a low messy bun. A headband is not only a good way to hold back the baby hairs or catch the sweat but it’s also a simple way to add flair to your hairstyle. I recommend spraying a little bit of hairspray to keep your edges in place. TRESemmé’s TRES Two is a good one because it’s lightweight, has great hold while maintaining flexibility, and there’s no white residue 😉 Just spray some on a soft bristle brush and gently comb the baby hairs back before sliding on the headband.
You guys know I’ve been filming a project and as soon as I wrap for the day all I want to do it put my hair up after it’s been out all day. Whether I’m going straight home from set, to meet a friend, or to an event, you really can’t go wrong with a curly messy bun. A BIG one! I think it looks so cute. There are some really chic headbands; turbans too can be considered headbands that you can use to pull an entire look together. Metallic, flowers, shimmery, or faux rhinestone accentuated headbands are perfect for a casual daytime look or evening affair. Keep curly strays in place with TRES Two by spraying a bit on your hands and then running them around your bun. You won’t need too much and this spray is just enough.
This hair accessory isn’t only for cute chubby lil babies! So I want to know, what’s your headband style? Watch the video and let me know what you think of these looks by TRESemmé!
