Lately I’ve been wearing my hair naturally curly which is kind of rare. I usually don’t do that until the summertime when the heat and humidity makes it practically impossible to keep my strands straight. But with working out and sweating up a storm it’s been difficult to maintain a blowout. Since curly hair is naturally very dry caring for it is a necessity. I’ve been trying new hair products to help moisturize and smooth my curls. One of those products is from a new haircare line from SoapBox.
The new haircare line is sulfate and paraben free, the importance of this has been growing on me, so of course I was pleased to know that! Also, another great thing about SoapBox is that for each product sold one month of clean water is given to a child in need, thanks to the partnership with Splash!.
There are four scents, all made with moisturizing all-natural oils; Bataua, Acai, Argan, and Coconut. I was sent the Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner to try.
Argan oil is native to Morrocco and is known to help smooth frizzy, damaged hair, and is packed with Vitamin E. Unintentionally there’s be a lot of Morroccan and Argan Oil in my haircare routine but it’s all good because it’s definitely doing my hair some good!
The shampoo and conditioner both contained a mild clean scent, nothing too strong. I love the conditioner! Especially for co-washing and de-tangling.
Overall I am pleased with these two. My hair feels soft, not so dry and frizzy, and shiny!! I play with my hair A LOT, a habit I’ve had since I was two, and that is what causes curls to get frizzy and loose their curl pattern. But I’ve noticed that that has minimized a bit since using this shampoo and conditioner. That habit ain’t dying any time soon! jajajaj 🙂
Have you guys heard of SoapBox? Would you give it a try?
